Nature Journal Club

Our December 14 meetup will be at Will Rogers State Historic Park, which has recently re-opened after January’s devastating Palisades Fire. SMMNJC member Dorothy Steinicke will talk with us about nature’s recovery, and we’ll be able to journal examples of regrowth. There could be lots of fungi in evidence too, after the November rains. Our November 9 meetup will be in the lovely oak woodlands at the start of the Los Padres Trail in the Los Robles Open Space in Thousand Oaks. Here's a pin. As usual, we will start at 12:30 with a shared meal. There are no picnic tables at the trailhead, but we’ll bring folding tables; please bring something to sit on.
